The under 9's Orange squad completed their first season in the Community League by winning the Ken Oxford Memorial Cup. A good crowd at the impressive Mickleover Sports Club facility were treated to a tense encounter that produced chances at both ends of the pitch. However, in the dying seconds and with the two teams still deadlocked and the prospect of extra time looming, Tigers center forward Jamie Bakewell pounced to produce the winning goal.

Our final two results for the season

TTFC v Mickleover Sports Club2 - 1
TTFC v Mickleover Sports Club2 - 0

We finished runners up in our league and scored 99 goals. Manager Gary had promised them all a McDonalds if they got 100. How lucky is he !!!!!!!!!

The Orange squad wrapped up their league season with a win over Hilton Harriers Scarlett leaving them 10 points clear of nearest rivals Castle Donnington and Field Lane. The blustery conditions proved difficult for both teams but a hat-trick for Charlie plus goals from Christian and Jamie B were enough to secure the points for Tigers. The final table makes good reading for Tigers having achieved a 100% record over the course of the season scoring eighty goals and conceding just seven in the process.

At last the Black squad have something to shout about. A late strike against Chellaston Boys gave the Black team their first goal of the new year and ended a goal drought stretching back to last October. The goal came after a well struck free kick from Glen was initially repelled but Johnny was quickest to react in the box and he thumped his shot passed a helpless Chellaston defence.

The under 9's Orange squad booked their place in the Ken Oxford Memorial Cup final after defeating West Hallam Juniors by three goals to two. However, Tigers were make to work hard for the right to progress having twice been a goal down before finally prevailing with two quick goals in the second half.
