 Toton Tigers v Spondon Rovers - 17th April 2005.
What a Game!!!
Before the game Tigers warmed up on the pitch and there was a few nerves showing in some of the players, on our return to the dressing room for our final pre match team talk the players were all sitting around chatting and listening to football songs and laughing with each other.
Then the Knock on the door came and it was out on to the pitch.
As the players emerged on to the pitch to a great roar from around 300 fans and reality then dawned it was time to get down to business. |

 Under 13 - Sunday
Ashbourne Aztecs V Toton Tigers Cup Semi Final - Sunday, 06 March 2005
After being delayed a week due to the bad weather the game finally went a head on a bumpy pitch
Tigers settled well and started to dominate the midfield. Tigers first attack came from a great
cross field ball by Sam Nicholson to Sam Gibbons whom had drifted wide to the left. Sam made a run
at Ashbournes defence and played an excellent cross in that was met at the back post by Josh
Stevenson Tigers went 1- 0 up.
This set the pattern for the game with Tigers scoring three more goals in the next 18 minutes.
Half time loomed and Tigers had already made short work of Ashbourne and when the whistle was
blown it was Tigers walking off the field 5 0 up.
Ashbourne never gave up but Tigers out played them in all areas of the pitch, it was only one
lax moment of concentration that let Ashbourne through on goal, but by this time the game was over
with Tigers coming out as the winners 7 1.
So Tigers march on with the Finals at Moorways Stadium the next stop.
Man of the Match Sam Gibbons and Brad Woodward. However all of the team deserved the honour.

Toton Tigers vs Hucknall Terriers - 16th Jan
A bitterly cold day, but a humdinger of a game to keep the crowd warm. Two very well matched sides
battled out a 1 v 1 draw. Matthew Cragg scoring a super goal for the Orange Squad.
Toton Tigers vs West Hallam - 23rd Jan
Orange Squad - lost 4 v 8. The final score looks bad, but this was an incredibly close game,
Toton scored first, they equalised, we went ahead, they equalised (2 v 2) then 3 v 3 and then 4 v 4.
Unfortunately in the last few minutes the opposition proved to be stronger and they ran away with it -
but an amazing game. Goals from Chris Monk, Matt Cragg and two from James Askew.
Blue Squad - a superb performance - the team are really starting to play together and they are
looking for space and passing - two great goals from Mac Allison (his first goals!) one from Connor
Pierce and a real scorcher from hot shot Matthew Fisher - well done Tigers!!

Below is a roundup of results received for games played in Dec and Jan. Possibly because of the xmas break results have been a bit thin on the ground recently. Also by popular request (well actually
Stevo asked me if I could do this) the results have been provided in reverse age group order this time.
Under 18

The u18s (div1) lost in the cup 3-4 but not before taking the game all the way to extra time.

 Under 7
21/11/04 - Orange squad vs Bingham. Won 9 - 0
A very strong performance with goals from Aiden Palmer, Evan Jones, a hat-trick by TJ Howdle
(including a rocket powered penalty) and, the answer to Sven's problems, four from left winger Christopher Monk.
A special mention to Matthew Cragg who covered every blade of grass and was outstanding.
28/11/04 - Orange vs Priory Celtic. Lost 8 - 0
The squad gave their all but simply could not match a much stronger and well organised opposition.
The penalty box resembled The Alamo for long periods of the game. All of the players tried hard in
very cold, wet and miserably muddy conditions - one of those games to learn from! Special credit to
goalkeeper Harrison Lievesley and to Thomas Howdle who threw themselves everywhere!
28/11/04 - Blue vs Priory Celtic. Won 5 - 1.
An excellent performance from the blue squad who mastered the conditions and played some confident
football. Billy Roberts (2) and Joe Wood got their first goals for the club along with Aiden Palmer
and James Askew. Tremendous performances also from Mac Allison and defender Matthew Currie.
