U8's orange finalists once again

If anyone thought that the U8's performance at the Loughborough tournament a fortnight ago was a flash in the pan, think again. Another fantastic display by the Orange squad at the Cotgrave tournament saw tham once again walk away with a finalists trophy in their hands. The squad on the day was George Barker, Will Barker, Joe Dane, Matt Fisher, James Askew, Owen Irons and Mac Allison.

Well Done to all the Toton Tigers U8's Orange Squad taking part in the Loughborough tournament today. I've never seen a better team performance or individual performances from any of you, I cannot stress how impressive you all were in your roles in attack, midfield and defence.

Perfect conditions on a Saturday morning in North Nottinghamshire brought out the spectators and they were not disappointed as they were treated to some good football from both sides.

After the final games of the season Tigers finished a creditable, but slightly disappointing, 7^th of 12 in the Derby City League Division 1.

Andy Capstick writes: A roll of the proverbial fixture list dice left Tigers facing a home and away encounters back-to-back as penultimate and final games of the season. While Moorgreen had taken first blood (a 1-5 loss for the Tigers) on Easter Saturday, Tigers had the opportunity to make amends on arguably the best playing surface of the season... and on the nicest evening too.
